Learning the main exercises for each muscle group is a great way to start weight training if you’ve never tried it before. The following exercises are fantastic because once you master the main move with perfect form, you can learn the many variations on the main move to create a great training repertoire.

This is a good way to start in the gym! Try each exercise with no weight to master the form, and then grab some weight and try it out. This alone is a fantastic day at the gym.
*Abs are optional, most people don’t dedicate a whole day to them. I do, but that’s because I just so happen to be the self-christened Abs Queen.
